Working with Government Ministers in Asia, Middle East, Eastern Europe, CIS and Latin America on design and implementation of economic policy in a variety of areas including country-level strategic direction, as well as industry-level policies, infrastructure investment, energy policy, labour market regulation and social protection.

ENERGY SECTOR

Advisory work for major emerging market utilities & investors in the energy sector on business strategies promoting renewables adoption, particularly among households. Working with international financial institutions to identify the revenue implications of Distributed Generation for incumbent utilities. In addition, working with multiple governments and agencies on how to reduce or eliminate energy subsidies including effective communication with citizens and interested parties.

ECONOMIC DIVERSIFICATION

Working with governments of natural resource-rich countries to frame policies for the diversification of their economies.

INNOVATION & PRODUCTIVITY

Working with policy-makers in several regions to develop policy regimes for stimulating innovation & productivity growth, including through new sources of funding and a focus on human capital investment. Work on understanding the impact of new technologies on the economy and wider society.

EMERGING MARKET RESEARCH & INTELLIGENCE

Working with leading international organisations - including the World Bank, European Commission, OECD, Asian Development Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - on a mix of policy, research and project-related issues in emerging markets. Providing regular updates on the state of the global economy & its constituent parts as well as scenarios for specific emerging market economies and markets.
